'Gurrong' with the Boite Millennium Chorus

Hamer Hall , 100 St Kilda Rd,, Melbourne Victoria

Gurrong Archie Roach and Shane Howard are two of the artists fronting the 350 voice Boite Millennium Chorus in their August concert.

Designed and directed by choir leaders, Jane Thompson and James Rigby, the concert features songs from multicultural, anglo and indigenous Australian traditions. The 17th concert in an annual series, this one is celebrating the 35th birthday of iconic multicultural music presenter, The Boite.

Artists as diverse as Senegalese singer and dancer, Lamine Sonko and violinist Ernie Gruner support a huge choir drawn from across Victoria. Together they will bring to life songs of immigration, resistance and celebration of the beauty of the land we all share.
