The Voices for Peace concert is a Warrnambool Rotary initiative bringing together a number of artists from the Port Fairy Folk Festival in a concert to raise awareness of the importance of peace to our community and to support the Rotary Peace Centre.

With fresh songs inspired by the Great Southern Ocean, influential songwriter Shane Howard brings his powerful new album Deeper South on tour to Yarra Ranges, continuing his indelible stamp on Australian Music. Joined on stage by John Hudson and Ewen Baker.

Shane Howard & band will perform a special CD Launch at the Flying Saucer Club on Friday 27th February. Be treated to an an array of new Howard songs from his new CD entitled ‘Deeper South’ which is a musical postcard from ‘the edge of the world’ - the unique southern coast of Australia. The Peterborough Seaside Festival is a one day community event in January. The event is staged at the foreshore reserve in the coastal town of Peterborough in South-West Victoria and features live music, markets and local produce, amusements and rides, canoe races on the river, a children's beach triathlon,reptile show and animal nursery etc. The festivities commence at 3pm and conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm - overlooking the majestic Newfield Bay.

In this panel session they will speak with Tim Neal about the music that lives in their hearts and minds

‘Interpreting History’- Gathered for one very special event to discuss their interpretations of history are artists, writers and historians of international renown. Panellists include Stella Prize winning author Dr Clare Wright, “QI elf” and researcher Molly Oldfield, musicians Shane Howard and Ash Davies and Yandruwandha man Aaron Paterson who has a unique connection to the Burke and Wills story. The session will be chaired by broadcaster and author Derek Guille.
